Kritik modtages GERNE! (virker helt forkert gerne at ville have at folk finder noget dårligt xD)

Det er et brev omkring ens fritidsinteresse (:

Dear pen pal
How great! It sounds like a lot of fun! Personally, I am very passionate about horses. I have been horseback riding almost ever since I first sat on a horse. I think I was four years old or something like that when I had my first ride on a pony, or you cannot really call it a ride, it was more like just sitting on a horse that took some few steps, but it just caught me and then I could not let it go. Slowly it has evolved from sitting on a horse to school riding then my own pony and now a young horse that I am going to educate instead of the opposite and a little and very cheeky colt.

I use something between half an hour and an hour every day just for basic cares of my horses. When the weather is nice, I try hard to find the time for a ride, even though it is difficult sometimes. In winter, I almost only ride when I am getting lessons, but in summer, I ride like five times a week on my own and simply love to compete in dressage competitions once or twice a month. Right now, I do only compete in beginner classes because I am riding a youngster, but I really hope to promote again soon.

Horses do really mean a lot to me. First of all, it is a fun hobby, but I also think that somehow being near horses helps us to become better persons. Indirectly they force you to take a proper look at yourself when things are going wrong and work with your anger, fear and egoism. For my part, I am really shy about meeting and especially talking to strangers, but when I am around horses it somehow makes me more friendly and open. I do not know if it is then because I am feeling confident about the most obviously topic or just because it calms me down, but it works!

My previous pony helped me through the time, when I got diabetes. When the moments came when I did not knew what to say or even think, it was her I went to see. I felt like all my problems kept a distance and that it was enough just to be for a while before facing all the things about diabetes once again. It was a really tough time, but being around horses definitely made it a lot easier.

F.eks. skriver du: "it was more like just sitting on a horse that took some few steps"

Den korrekte formulering på engelsk, vil jeg mene, er: "it was more like sitting on a horse that took a few steps"

Og så er der også denne her: "I do only compete in beginner classes because I am riding a youngster, but I really hope to promote again soon"

Her vil jeg mene, sætningen burde lyde: "I only compete in beginner's classes because I am riding a young horse but I really hope to advance soon"
