I want to be a childcare worker in a crèche for children aged 6 months to three years or in a nursery school, because I wanna give the children a good start of life before they start in school. I think it is important for children that they start their life with a happy childhood. I want to help the children they call trouble makers, since I dont mean it is trouble makers, but just kids who is bored and need to be active and learn to create a positive connection to other people instead of puch and throw with things. I mean childern learn by watching how they do it right and get a explanation of what they should do and why they should do it like that, instead of just telling that they do it wrong. The childcare worker conduct should happen on a professionel foundation i.e. that the childcare worker should be able to explain why he/her do like he/her do. Humour is a important part of the pedagogigal work. It easy to get a close relationship to the children when the childcare worker use humour. It releive atmoshpere. Martin Fuhr say “Children with humour is more well-founded and popular”. Parhaps I wanna help children who have speciel needs like if they are mentally and physique retarded. I think it could be exciting to be a part of their working day and help them get a functional day.
I will take the children into the woods so they can run through streams, clamberig up trees or pick flowers. I think it is a good way to teach them about ecology and the enviroment. In this way children learn to think about themselves in relation to the enviroment. Several studies have confirmed that children in nature nursery school have more finely developed motor skills, have better social skills, are sick more less and show much better levels of concentration than children in traditonal nursery schools. On that way I mean the children is better prepared for later schooling. I don`t wanna take the children out ind the wood every day, but one or two days in a week, I mean it is good enough for children. It is a adventage to be in a forrest because there is a lot of space and the children get stimulate alle the senses. The sense of touch is used because in the forrest they can touch leaf, run barefoot though a stream and touch whatever they want to. They can see a lot of things for example a beetle or a ladybug and a how the forrest look in the changing of the seasons. They can hear many sounds for example from a bird who chirp or listen to the wind in the tree. The children can taste on the soil and they can smell, the smell of the trees and the changing of the seasons. The (vestibulærsansen?) is used when they roll down of a hill or if they make som somersault. The (kinestetiske sans?) is used when they crawling, throwing with a stick or when they jumping and romp around. It is important children gets stimulate because if they dont get it, they become clumsy, isn´t body-conscious, fall and have a bad balance. It is good for the children to be outside because it increase their resistance, comfort and health. They get a opppertunity to explore the world and their imagination. Singing is good for the community, resistance their joie de vivre, delvelop their language. Play in the nature strengthen children motor co-ordenation. By be aware to each indvidual child develop stage, they can create challange to wider development.
In some nature nusery school are they out i the forrset every day and in others are they only in the forrest two or three times at week. They have varied a and a flexible everyday where there is space to surprise and spontaneity. The food in a nature nursery school is healthy and organic. The children help cooking, so they learn what food is made of, and it makes it easier for them to make healthy choices. Once a week they get fish. On this way the children don’t get overweight. A overweight children are usually easy to bully. All childcare workers has a responsibility to stop bullying before it harm the overweight child self-image and make the child insecure about his or her weight and develop eating disorders.
There is seven different intelligens according to Howard Gardner. There is the linguistic intelligens and people there is linguistic love to read, listen, write and has a large vocabulary. The mathematical intelligens is when people think logical, is good at numbers and search for inspect and connections. The musical intelligens shows with people who like different style of music, singing and is good for dancing. The spatial/ visual intelligens and people who is spatial/ visual like to paint, (stor visuel forstillingsevne og nyder mange kunstarter.) The bodily intelligens shows with people who exercise a lot, is practical, need to touch things, have a lively body language and find the solution to a problem by trying (sig frem). The personal intelligens shows with people who understand themselves, is thoughtful, perfer to work alone, write dairy and daydreamer. The social intelligens shows with people who have many friends, notice others humour, like to work in a group and just love to be around other people. According to Howard Gardner are we born with them all, and we need them all when we solve a problem. He mean that all intelligens should be delvelop at the same time, so the intelligens go together, instead of work isolated by one af the intelligens. Children should know what they good at, because nobody think identical. In the later schooling they only get judge by the mathematical intelligens and the linguistic intelligens, and it is not fair because there are many other intelligens. To delvelop more skills the teacher should know have the children learn. Not everyone learn at the same way, some people learn througth hear it, some people need to touch it and some ohter people need tell about it before they have learn it. All children needs successful experience and they get it if the teacher have focus on the child strong side and strengthen their weekness throught their strong side. All children is different, it is impornet to take into account.
