Engelsk eventyr (tja) {{forumTopicSubject}}

Jeg har skrevet et eventyr på engelsk - skolearbejde - og ville høre jer om i ikke havde lyst til at læse den igennem, og måske komme med forslag til, hvordan jeg måske kan gøre den endnu bedre som eventyr.
(nå ja, så er der vist også 2 eller 3 sætninger jeg ikke helt ved hvordan jeg skal oversætte ^^)


The mirror
Once upon a time in a land far, far away there lived a woman with her daughter. The little family were happy but also very poor and they couldn’t get food every day. As the mother fell seriously ill she asked the daughter to spend her last money at some medicine. The daughter agreed sympathetically, but as she arrived at the market her eyes fell on a juicy beef and she couldn’t stop buying it. However she instantly got a bad conscience as she dug her teeth into the meat. Her hand was shaking as she with misgivings greb ned in her purse to hitch up the last money. But there was none left.
After a while the girl shamefaced decided to went home as an old travelling storyteller stopped her. He told her about a land so rich and beautiful which nobody could imagine. There were green fields and babbling streams all the year round that only waited to be seen. All this he would give to her, seeing that he was become too old. She didn’t know what she had expected but absolutely not that the old storyteller handed her a little gilded mirror of the finest material she had ever seen. The mirror wasn’t decorated except from some tiny little red roses in each of the corners. The storyteller packed the mirror into some beautiful white silk and admonish the girl to be careful about it. After that he disappeared.
The girl didn’t know what to be done. Should she go home to her mother without the medicine or should she try to sell the mirror and afterwards buy the medicine? She decided on the last. For her internal ear she heard the old mans voice but drove it prompt away. She did the right thing.
After selling the mirror to a black bearded grocer, the girl quickly ran to the nearest drugstore but they had already closed. At the next drugstore where she tried they didn’t have the medicine she needed. With misgivings she hurried to the third and last drugstore in the little village and as she at last arrived her eyes went tearfully. The little drugstore was burn down, there were nothing left.
In her mind’s eye the girl saw the black bearded man and suddenly she know what to do. She walked on her tiptoes as she saw the black bearded man again. She pretended not to have been seing him and walked lige ind I ham, after which she mumbled apologises until she couldn’t see him anymore. After that she started running home.

After becoming the mirror back the mother went fit and the little family got very rich. The mirror had been a magic mirror and just as the old storyteller promised the girl they suddenly were in the most beautiful world they had ever seen. There they lived richly and well to the end of their days
